Engagements, Bridals, and Honeymoons, "OH MY!"

I just wanted to update everyone on what Kim and I have been doing for the past month; both before the wedding and after. Thanks for all of you who came to support us on our big day! It was a great beginning to a most excellent adventure ;)! Mostly I wanted to post a lot of pictures of our honeymoon which was fantabulous and quite memorable! As well as some of our wonderful engagement and bridal photos for which we owe much appreciation to Peter Romney, Jana Whetton, and Shelley Owens! We will post more pictures as we get them (We're still waiting to hear from our photographer).

 We tried getting some shots with the blossoms blooming in Logan (technically the River Heights Park).

 The Bird Refuge near Layton worked out perfectly for some nice sunset shots!

 Back to the Layton Park for some different outfit shots!

Honeymoon: The Armstrong Mansion in Salt Lake City: So Beautiful (definitely recommend it).  We Stayed in the June Bride Suite: How fitting :)!

Mmm....Bed and Breakfast! Loved their breakfast quiche! 

Off to Tahoe and Yosemite across the Salt Flats...

Bella's Restaurant for Lunch:

 Kim got a Turkey Sandwich and I got a yummy Taco Salad!

We made it to Lake Tahoe!!!

 And still had time for some beautiful sunset photos...

The next day we went to church at a small branch in Walker, California

 And stopped for a picnic lunch with the ants in Yosemite!

Wawonna Campground: Kim loved the June bugs, flying ants and moths!

We got some funny looks for camping on our honeymoon...but we had to keep up the tradition of Grandma and Grandpa Stoker!  Thanks to Kim's Mom, Grandma, and Aunts for the 2-person sleeping bag and 6 person tent! They were great!

Then we went to Mariposa Grove: Kim's favorite part!

We passed the Wawonna Hotel: Where we should have stayed...Darn, I guess there is always next time!

Benton Hot Springs!!!

 We fell for their trick of calling-in on the walkie-talkie to check in: Haha Funny Guys!

We loved their flowery wall-paper and antique-vintage themed rooms! Definitely a highlight of the trip! 

This is where Benton Hot Springs Bed and Breakfast was located: THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!!! "Yet there is something Soo romantic about being in the middle of nowhere with the one you love!" 

-Says Kim :) But seriously, we will definitely be back!

 We found this sign near the border of California/Nevada and had to get a pic...

On the way back through the desert, we stopped and had watermelon and sparkling cider with the pigeons at a rest-stop!

In keeping up with the tradition of my parent's honeymoon, we went temple hopping! July 3rd we did an endowment session and proxy-sealings at the Manti Temple.

That evening we did some initiatory sessions in the Mt. Timpanogos temple and spent a little bit of time with family on the 4th of July visiting (eating good barbeque food), opening gifts, and watching fireworks! Then it was back to Logan as our Excellent Adventure ended with me having to go back to work! :) Hope you enjoyed our honeymoon photo-blog! -Layne
